Hi! I'm Samuele Zoncada, and this is my personal blog where I share thoughts about web development, programming, gaming, and D&D. Your privacy matters to me, so I've kept things simple: this site doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you, and doesn't collect your personal data.

3. What Data I Collect (or Don't)

No cookies, no analytics, no tracking. I don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any similar tools. You can browse freely without being monitored.

However, like any website, my web server automatically logs some technical information to keep things running smoothly and secure:

• IP address (deleted after 14 days)
• Browser type and version (user agent)
• Pages you visit (URL)
• Date and time of your visit
• Referrer (the site you came from, if any)

Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6.1.f): Legitimate interest in maintaining website security, preventing abuse, and technical troubleshooting.
Retention: Server logs are kept for a maximum of 30 days, then automatically deleted.
Data location: All servers are located within the European Union.

4. Third-Party Services

This website does not use third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services. All resources (including fonts) are self-hosted to maximize your privacy.

If you click on external links (e.g., to GitHub, social media), those sites have their own privacy policies — I have no control over them.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

• Right to access: Request a copy of any personal data I hold about you
• Right to rectification: Ask me to correct inaccurate data
• Right to erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to restriction: Limit how I process your data
• Right to object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Right to data portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format

To exercise any of these rights, please contact me. Since I don't actively collect personal data beyond server logs, there's usually nothing to export or delete, but I'm happy to help if you have concerns.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe I'm not handling your data properly.

6. Data Security

I take reasonable precautions to protect the minimal data this site processes, including secure server configurations and regular updates. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure — use your best judgment when sharing information online.

7. Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 16. I don't knowingly collect personal data from minors.

I may update this privacy policy from time to time (e.g., if I add new features). The latest version will always be available at https://samuelezoncada.dev/privacy. The "Effective date" at the top tells you when it was last updated.
